HGV / LGV – Category C & CE (Class 2 & Class 1)

Train to drive rigid lorries and articulated vehicles:

Category C (Class 2):
Rigid lorries over 3.5 tonnes – ideal for local delivery, tippers, refuse vehicles and general haulage.
Category CE (Class 1):
Articulated lorries and large trailer combinations – for trunking, distance haulage and logistics.

We provide:

Help with medical and provisional licence

Bus & Coach – Category D & D1 / D1E

Train to drive buses, coaches and minibuses:

Category D: Full‑size buses and coaches – local service, school contracts and tour work
Category D1: Minibuses (9–16 seats) – schools, community and care transport
Category D1E: Minibus + larger trailer – where extra capacity is needed

How the Process Works

Whether you’re training for lorry, bus, coach or minibus, the steps are similar:

Tell us what you want to drive and your current licence categories.
Medical & Provisional Licence
We explain the medical and DVLA forms so you can get your provisional entitlement.
Theory Tests
We guide you on booking and preparing for the theory and (if needed) CPC Module 2.
Practical Training
You train at our Gaerwen site and on local roads with one of our instructors – including Module 3a reversing and 3b on‑road preparation.
Practical Tests
Take your Module 3a (off‑road manoeuvres) and Module 3b (on‑road driving) using our vehicles at our DVSA‑approved site, where applicable.
Driver CPC (if required)
Complete Initial CPC so you can drive professionally and legally.
